Carbs next- Questions

Soo I missed all the not-so-obvious differences when pulling apart so maybe someone could reassure me here.. the emulsifiers , 4 hole ones on the back and 5 hole on the front also 150’s on the rear and 145 on the front? and the springs are they shorter on the back?
Also is there anything easy I should do to pep it up a bit while they’re in bits? maybe bigger jets or raise the needle by a washer etc more low-mid range than top for me on the road.. it has a #38 pilot at the mo- 1000fe 84 cheers

If you’re running the stock exhaust and inlet, increasing the jet sizes and/or lifting needles will just make it run rich. I have full stainless “crossover” headers and straight through mufflers fitted with no collector box, I then fitted a “Factory Pro” jet kit…she now runs nicely. The shorter springs go in the rear cylinder carbs along with the 4 hole emulsion tubes. The larger main jet usually go on the rear cyls as they tend to run a little hotter. A jet kit will use the same size jets all round, in my case they are 145 new needles and increase the pilot jets to #40. I also have new ignition modules with a timing advance.

Hiya, thanks 4 that- also I’ve just read in the manual that the jet needle size is different too- but all of mine are the same thickness 2.5mm so I’m guessing they’ve been changed and it doesn’t matter too much? any thoughts?
does the advance make any difference?
Also checking the float levels- they were all miles out! in both directions- weird. so I’m itching to get these back on now- bench sychronise now too, but will vacuum sync them later..
the exhaust on closer inspection is all welded up with a balance pipe- looking really difficult to get them off? I want to check the sump and strainer..
