Fluild reservoir protector

Hi again Is this reservoir protector the right way round? I should’ve took photos. :sob:

Yes, underneath is a tiny “relief hole”, stops the fluid causing a fountain inside when bleeding the brakes.

Thanks mate… bleeding is a pain… I have done reverse bleeding… the clutch lever is biting but not enough to engage clutch… fitted new hydraulic clutch kit… piston, seals x2 bleed nipple… any advise would be great… only rear tyre and chain and sprockets to do and that’s it

You mean “enough to disengage clutch”…?? Is the slave cyl ok…?? They can and do cause grief.

Reverse bleeding is basically the only way to get all the air out. When I fitted braided lines, I used a syringe to force the fluid up to the reservoir through the slave bleed nipple…works fine. Air doesn’t like going down.

Hi yes all been rebuilt with new parts… will have another go tomorrow :+1:t2:
