I am Jack from Delfzijl in the Netherlands, and since a few weeks I own a 1987 VF1000F2, wonderfull bike.
However the suspension is rather stiff, I feel every bumb on the landroads and sometimes I even get hopped off of my seat so I would like to make this a bit more comfortable.
Who can help me with a manual for this matter?
You may send me this by mail if you like, to jslagter59@home.nl
Many thanks for whoever can help me!!!
Hello, Jack
Is it original (no visible spring) shock absorber there ? If loosing air from rear shock and greasing the link system does not help, then you may find yourself changing the whole shock absorber. Hagons from UK were most economical solution I found, and I have now made first test ride with new Hagon suspension. Front is good, but rear end needs still some adjusting. I can scan you the rear suspension pages of the manual, if you wish, but I strongly suggest ho get one to yourself, Honda’s original shop manual is best, but as far as I know, haynes and Clymer books are OK too.
