Motor number match chassis number?

Hi all,

I bought a Honda VF1000 F2 with a chassis number SC15 - 4003846 and engine number SC15E - 2106459.

When I look at the table (thanks for that and the website, great help). The engine numbers don’t go that high. Also, the bike first registration is in beginning 1990 in Europe.

Is this one of the latest models made or is there maybe a new engine build in?

Hi Gerrit,the engine number SC15E-21***** indicates a 1985 model year.The last engines produced were 1986 model year and the engine number starts 22
