on my VFR the connector from the AC generator to the regulator/rectifier has died. I replaced it with more solid one that is soldered now. The Problem is, that the copper of the wires itself are somehow corroded.
My question is: can I replace the 3 yellow wires and connect new ones to the coils? How they are connected inside the engine?
Hi axel, Can’t remember how the vfr is done but usually they are crimped with a metal tube that can either be replaced or soldered instead or both. I’ve done several on other Japanese bikes and have crimped and soldered as the better the connections the less heat produced and therefore less chance the copper turning black.
