Vacuum leak recommendations

I have a vf1000f during gear shifts or shifting to neutral the revs slowly drop, the bike starts , runs and revs fine it’s just the rev hang that’s a problem. The linkages are good and operate smoothly the choke opens and closes properly, the boot clamps are tight. I sprayed quick start on the carb boots and the revs picked up so I took the carbs off suspecting the carb boots are bad, I don’t see any obvious cracks and they are quite pliable, i ordered new ones. I didn’t really want to disassemble the carbs as they seem to be working well otherwise but could it also be a leak with a small o ring in an air tube or a plunger that when I sprayed the quick start it got sucked in there? Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

Anyone with same type of problem who has found solutions,? carb boots will be in next week but i’m not confident that will solve my problem as the originals seem to be in good shape , even though i am not confident i am hopeful, maybe they weren’t seated properly or whatever. I don’t have a lot of experience with carbs and i would like to know if a vacuum leak could be cause through throttle shafts or choke etc

I reckon a leak around that a leak around throttle shafts etc is unlikely.
It’s possible that you may have a perforated carb vacuum diaphragm causing the problem?
If you take the carbs off make sure all slides are closing, and you don’t have one or more not seating.
