Hi people, just wondering if a set of carbs from a VF1000f will fit and work on a VF750f as I’ve got a set that are seized and prob not worth trying to rebuild, also are the carbs on the Sabres the same as they look different
Many thanks

Different size unfirtunately…the 1000 carbs are a larger throat size than the 750.
The Sabre/Magna carbs are at a different angle as the engine is tilted further forward. More like an “L” than a “V”…they actually run in reverse direction/backwards too.
Smithy.
Thanks for that, I’ll obviously have to sort the ones I’ve got
You can buy a reconditioned set…expensive though…He says they’re often not in stock but shoot him a question, never know your luck.
Smithy.
Unless they are badly corroded, or castings broken, they are repairable.
Even if you havent got access to an ultrasonic cleaner, they are pretty easy to clean up. HINTS: take heaps of pics, especially of the link pipes and throttle linkages. Keep each carb part in a container for that carb. Front and rear are different in key components such as Slide/diaghram/Needle, and jets.
Buy new carb boot, even the cheap chinese ones are ok
.when you’re ready to fit them search posts on hear for the easy method.
Take your time, be methodical and youll enjoy having them sorted. Lots of good advice on this forum.
Thanks for that, yeah they are probably salvageable with a good clean, was just looking to see if another set fitted to then also have some spares but not seeing many 750 parts out there, I’ve had them off three times already and touch wood I’ve not had any problems taking them off and back on but I’ve had masses of V4 Hondas to practice on in the past.
