hi guys- my rear tyre needs replacing and I’ve got a spare 160/80 with good tread out back.. has anyone put this width on a standard VF1000fe wheel? and if so, how did it handle?? cheers
A 150 70 17 is as far as you should go. It is within the recognised sizze differential. The 160 80 would give a horrible profile .
yes I hear what you’re saying- but I’ll be riding on the road at 100kph - no where nr 160mph on a track.. so am interested if anyone has done it and their experience? - I have a 150 but I’ll have to take it off a wheel first- but this 160 is ready 2 go–
