Question to my knowledgeable friends,
If one (you) balance the carbs with vacuum gauges, is this better with air filter assemble on or not ?
Air filter on mate.You don’t even need to lift the tank
As Bif said…however, I like to use one of these shown below…but tank and filter box need to be removed to use it. They fit nicely into the velocity stacks too and very accurate.
Saves hooking up all the vacuum tubes and guages etc…
I also have an electronic set of guages which work really well if doing a bike with the tank still on etc…Either way, the carb adjustment screws are still a pig to get at.
