During the strip down and preparation to rebuild of the vf 1000 f motor I have noticed a difference between the oil pan on my engine vs the oil pan on a donor engine I have, Photos attached…can anyone advise me of the difference and if the one with the baffles may be better?

Hi Tony, I beleive the one with the baffles was a later upgrade, apparently its to stop the oil moving about under heavy braking and acceleration.

Does the later one have the oil cooler hose ports at the front drilled out?
No hoses at all, actually the pans are identical but for the baffle plate on the inside. even the gasket is the same
