[:D] Hi everyone, I’m new here so please be gentle with me, a couple of week ago I bought a basket case VF1000FE including spare frame, clymer manual and new battery off ebay for £60.60p, it was paid for within seconds of auction ending,[:0] and yes I could’nt get there fast enough to collect,[8D] the question is, does anyone know how the frame and engine numbers correspond to each other, are they supposed to match exactly? i want to keep the original frame (if it is) otherwise the spare frame is in slightly better condition and I may use that one, cheers, Phil

Hi there and welcome to the Forum, sounds like you got a basket case bargain!! There is no correlation between the frame number and the engine number. If it is a UK FE then the frame number should be between SC15-2000364-2007330 and the engine betwen SC15E-2001594

Good luck with your FE restoration, let us know how you get on [:D]

Ahaaa!..so it was you that got the basket case was it?..Nice one, I was looking at it myself…but didn’t want to risk divorce proceedings so didn’t bother. Welcome to the forum mate…As PAJ says…any advice shout up.
I must say, you certainly got a big project on there mate…Engine looks a mess…needs a lot of TLC on that.Good luck.[:)]
