Garden find "R"

Found this on Ebay,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/honda-vf1000r-spares-repair-project-/321164852505?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item4ac6eabd19

Beware the airbox not being fitted, because the bike has been outside the carbs will have collected all the possible water/moisture that has fallen onto it in the last three years[:0]

Or, on the flip side there is this

The Gardner 1KR is a very nice bike, pity he’s a tosser!

[:0]…720 smackers… i cant beleive how much thats made…[:0]

Going to cost a hell of a lot to restore, can’t see the point paying that much really. I got mine for less on e bay 6 years ago I know, but mine was a runner with mot for 12 m !

And of course mine isn’t an R either.

That’s a lot of money to pay, I am restoring an R and it would have been useful as part of the project but lots of the hard to find bits are not there.
variation on the theme but there is a top fairing on eBay advertised for a week at £199 attracted no bidders and is then re listed with a £250 buy it now tag against it what’s all that about?

Surely Gardner’s old bike would be worth something? Even given his “Tosser” status…
