Gearing question

Does anybody have used 18-teeth front sprocket in VF1000F ?
Due engine swap and and 150/70 rear tyre I need to change either 18/43 or 17/40 sprockets. 18 would be easier and cheaper, but is there enough space ?

Hi Pekka,JT sprockets part 339-18 is a straight swap.A couple of the lads use these with a 43 tooth rear to give the FE more legs.Your other option is to swap the crank sprocket and clutch basket from your F2 into the R engine.Regards BIF

OK, thanks for the advice. I’ll go with 18-teeth front sprocket; the engine can have it’s internals as they are. And the rear tyre is anyway a bit smaller than original.
