Goldfren S33 Brake Pads

Just fitted these to my bike as a replacement for some Brembo pads that groaned when coming to a halt:

Yes, they’re carbon ceramic and need a couple of initial applications to get them to temperature, but I’ve just returned from a very spirited ride and couldn’t be happier with them. The braking performance is so much better than the Brembos, but they have quite a progressive initial bite.

They are advertised as “Front”, but when delivered the vertical white label you can see on the item indicates they are “Rear”, but the only difference is that the rears come with the stainless “anti-squeal thermal insulation” fitments on both pads. I left these on and they seem to work fine so far - after the ride the rear caliper was slightly warmer than the fronts, and I did use the front brake very heavily at times in order to bed them in.

Has anybody else used these? For the price they seem a bit of a bargain…

Good to hear, I am using them on my Bol Dor f2 rebuild
