HI, I am a new owner of a 1988 Vf1000FF. That is all Mot’d (now and on the road). Went out for a short ride yesterday as its not done anything since 2005.
IT needs a few bits doing. One of the main things is starter motor is very slow to turn over. I have looked in to this and people say to fit VF750 starter motor.
My questions is what is best place to look for parts for the old girl.

Depending on the parts you need, CMSNL are a good source. If it’s available as an OEM part, they’ll have it.
There are many pattern parts available, for example indicator rubbers, screens and the like. Wemoto and similar outlets are good for that sort of thing.
I spent about two years sourcing bits for mine when it was being wheels up restored. If you need anything specific PM me and I’ll see if I can help you with where to get it.
