Can anyone tell me if its ok of to mix the conrod (out of a 85 VF1000) with the number 5 on it with 3 others with 4 on them? ( from an 84 VF 1000 ) they look identical and it does not mention anything in the service manual about this numbering.

Hi Tony, I’m pretty sure those numbers are just casting numbers to identify which moulds the con rods came from during manufacture…
Thanks for the info Pete, yes I did notice the past numbers for a con rob on an 84 model was the same as one on and 85. This will be fine to do then…thanks again
