Here’s my new (to me) 1985 VF1000F2 - 14800 on the clock, only 800 since 2006, now nearly 15000.
I’m still deciding which tyres to replace the old Metzelers with (See an earlier post) - currently thinking of BT023 110/80 front and 150/70 rear at £197 for the pair. The current rear Metzeler is a standard size 140/80 but it’s actually 155mm wide and there’s only 3mm clearance to the chainguard, so I still haven’t made up my mind whether a 150 rear will actually fit…

Nice Bike I use Dunlop Roadsmarts 150/70 Radials on my 1000FF and RG. No clearance issues at all. Never really got on with any Bridgestones, but its all personal choice!
As Viffer says, the 150 70 17 is a good fit. I have run my F2F on that and a 110 80 18 which gives you lots of choice. If it touches the chainguard its no big deal, just file a bit of clearance into the plastic. I have an FF with a 160 60 17 cbr 600 wheel on it and had to slightly mod the chain guard. Works a treat.
I just put a set of BT46’s on mine, no complaints and they’re perfect for how I ride my F2.
