Noise when starting up

Hi, my Vf1000f2 makes a continual spinning noise when starting; coming from right hand side of engine…
Sounds like the starter continues to spin for a couple of seconds but then stops?

Any ideas or anyone else had this and is it anything to worry about?

Sounds like the starter clutch is jamming up.
You can buy kits with new rollers, pins and springs. I would be checking the three ramps and smoothing out if the are not already.
Fairly straight forward job. You may need a new gasket for the clutch cover as well.
