What is the function of this “hole” in the engine, and why does it leak oil out of it?

Its a drain hole to let any water out from between the v, it shouldnt let oil out, unless you have a leaking oil pipes or possibly rocker cover gaskets…

Hello, I am new in the forum. Hmm, I had almost the same question. But I think I have cooling liquid coming out. Has somebody more info about it and how to fix it?
