Oil strainer removal

Ladies and Gents

Planning to clean the oil strainer in sump with next service. Any tips to remove the strainer? (Once sump pan is removed.)

Hi tuffy, the oil strainer just pulls off, always interesting to see what they have picked up.

Pulled the sump cover off cleaned the strainer. Was not sure what to expect …

Have seen a lot worse than that…..often full of silicone sealant excess from the sump etc if earlier owners have had the sump off.…
