I have heard that it is easiest to drop the frame onto the engine then add the swingarm and front shocks. This means the engine rests on the 3 oil sump lugs? Can the sump bear the weight of most of the bike or are there other support points to use?
I use a wooden block between oil sump and a car lifter. When the bike is on a rear stand I use this to lift the front wheel. Had no problems until now.
Use that method every time, no issues. Just don’t forget to install the rear shorty header pipes before you get too far.
