Rear monoshock vf1000fe

Hi,greetings from somerset uk!!!

I think this has been discussed before, but I’ll ask anyway, the "original " rear showa shock on my vf1000fe appears to be very sluggish and as I don’t have a press ,I think replacement is better than refurbishment.
So has anybody used the YSS MZ456-405-TRL04? Will it fit in with no mods? Or any other suggestions?
Cheers
Allan

It will fit with a washer either side of the top mount and is 5mm longer than standard so will give the rear end a nice little lift

Thanks for the advice,it’s in and working, what a difference! :+1:

Glad it worked out! Was the installation pretty straightforward? Thinking about doing mine but worried about getting the alignment right.

It was easy,as Bif mentioned, a washer both sides at the top mount to reduce side float ,almost plug n play! Very pleased with it.im gonna put one on my 750 soon (slightly different version)
