Seat Colour

Hi All,

I’m a bit unsure what colour my seat should be, I have the blue and white model VF1000F, should it be blue or did they also come with black seats?

Hi my 1984 vf1000fe (white and blue with red stripe) has a blue seat, I think that the black seat only came with the grey/black or red/black bikes. I have owned the bike from new so I know it came with the blue seat as standard.

I thought it probably was supposed to be blue, I rushed out and had mine recovered in black ( it had a buggered red cover on it )when I first bought the bike but since then I have decided to rebuild it, so I think I will start looking for a blue seat.

Does yours have the ‘1000’ stencil on it or just plain blue?

The european vf1000fe did not have the stenciled ‘1000’ on the sides of the seat. This was only on the version sold as the interceptor in the US (the one with the cast wheels instead of comstars)
