Hi guys. I have looked all over my VF1000F fairings (both sets) to try and find the indicator for the type of plastic they are made of in prep for some welding but can’t find any signs. Can anyone tell me the type of plastic they are so I can order the correct welding rods?

ABS maybe? That is what I have heard about Honda fairings from that era. You can try how it reacts with acetone, it should soften ABS plastic
