I was going on a race, I gave full trotting and lost half power and the engine started making a bad “knocking” noise(engine sounds good when idle)

Possibly thrown a big-end bearing….there’s not much load at idle hence not much noise.

Oil pressure is very low at idle on these I believe, if it was a crank bearing I think you’d hear it at idle? Maybe something came loose in there? Strange that it doesn’t knock all the time…
