Hi a question regarding the side stand on my 84 vf1000f i notice that when on the side stand the stand does not lean forward much and i am afraid of the bike rolling off the stand,my xjr1300 side stand leans forward a lot more,is this common for the vf1000f stand or could i possibly have the wrong stand fitted?

No that’s definitely the wrong kickstand for sure. That’s way to much of a lean for a 500lb bike. My 1984 vf1000f doesn’t lean that much.
It’s the kickstand that was fitted by Honda when they built it, so I’m reasonably comfortable that it’s the correct one.

Sure looks like the original one to me. All 8 of mine lean over that far.
