Hello
I am having a problem with the gear change on my VF1000R, not a mechanical issue but an adjustment issue. The gap between the gear change and the side stand is too small and I have to wedge my boot in the gap on upshifts. I tried adjusting the gear shift one spline around but then the change is too high to do comfortably.
Has anybody else experienced this?
If so, have you found a solution?

Post a picture of the side stand and hear change lever so we can have a look
I had the same problem. The side stand is bent, you must either replace it (the stand of other VF1000-models seem to fit, too) or bend it back.
