Good Day,
This might seem like a bit of a stupid question. Could this be used on a VF1000r to feed an oil cooler rather than plumbing it into the head. Am i correct in believing that the R does not have the same cam related problems due to the gears.
Regards
quote:The gears just do away with the cam chain issues and dont do anything for the oil problem. The R's cams have more lift and can suffer pitted cams worse than the F models.

Could this be used to feed an oil cooler, as I believe these engines run hot and if so would there be any point.
Just thoughts, while mine is still in bits, soon to be rebuilt.
Thanks
Dont know about the oil cooler, never tried it.
The correct oil filter is a kn202.Why do some of you fit the kn303?
All my VF run with 303 and seem to be happy! 8)
You need the 303 filter to fit with the oil kit spacer so it still clears the front pipes.
Just some helpful advice to people fitting an oil mod kit to a Bol D’or (it’s different to the F in terms of clearance). There is very little clearance remaining for the oil filter. I couldn’t even get the PL 14612 to fit. In the end I found a Ryco Z436 (HE) which is very stubby and clears everything by a few mm.
